Massage for Pregnancy, the Postnatal Period and Early Parenthood
Raynor Massage is safe and can be deeply beneficial during pregnancy (from 12 weeks gestation) and also the postnatal period and beyond. As a Midwife I have a deep understanding of the changes pregnancy brings both to the physical body and also the transitions that effect emotional wellbeing. Treatments during pregnancy are adapted to allow comfortable positioning for the massage and focus on any specific areas of discomfort. Regular massage treatments in pregnancy can support you to feel at your best by easing physical and emotional tension and to approach your labour and birth with a relaxed body and mindset.
I also specialise in treating women during the initial postnatal period and beyond. Pregnancy, birth and early motherhood can take their toll on the body and mind, I can help with recovery from the birth itself, coping with disturbed sleep and also adapting to the repetitive movements involved with feeding and caring for your newborn. Treatments can also help ease any physical or emotional trauma.
